When Alawee stop

One year has it been? Yes one year it has been. No more "federal alawee" no more PPA, no more kaki and no more CDS. You have been hitherto called government "pikin" now all that's over. You are now on your own, yes pure "OYO" and you have to take responsibility for yourself. Yes your parents are proud of you but I'm guessing you know what that mean, in case you are still naive I'll tell you, it means reduced allowances, your clothing, your feeding to some extent and if you are a woman all of your womanly needs is now your responsibility.
You may look for work or start something with what you have right where you are. A wise man once said, if you work for someone you can feed yourself, if someone works for you, you will feed others. My whatsapp profile has been buzzing with different kinds of broadcast messages about job opportunities and recruitment here and there. It's wonderful but if you can go out there and create jobs then do it.
I guess it all depends on your dreams but whatever the case may be go out there and make history, be the impact we've been clamouring for, be punctual, be polite, love truly, be inspired, be confident, be you.

Choosing with others.

Relationships are hard work. This of course is a known fact. It's requires lots of effort and work to gain someone's trust enough for them to trust you not to break their heart. Even after that you must spend the entire relationship reassuring him or her as the case may be. Now you've worked hard and the trust has been built. You are close to the promise land in a matter of speaking suddenly you realise you haven't considered all stakeholders.


Yes stakeholders, because relationship goes beyond two. It may start with two but like everything that has life the law of growth sets in. Now though there were two of you, to take important decisions like spending your life together, it takes more than two.


Love they say is not enough. Although the two of you will live together but your world is bigger than just the two of you. In going into a relationship, you need to consider also your life with your family and friends. You need to even project into the future and consider the kind of people you'll be expecting to come into your life. Your relationship with others should be considered in making your choice.

when you reach the summit

The bible says "the end of a matter better is than the beginning", an old adage says "the race is not the swift or the strong but him who endures to the end. A journey of a thousand mile begins with one step. So you've taken the bold step, you've heed the call and through thick and thin, through cold, wet, hot weather, enduring both favourable and unfavourable conditions, the days you ate your fill and the days you had to ration your supplies, learning to accomodate the good, the bad and the ugly. Now you are at the end, what will be your conclusion? would you be able to say "I came and saw and conquered"? will you relish a victory, a success or will it be a story of regrets, wishing you had done things dfferently?
Will you  return home a victor, knowing that you have done yourself and your family proud? or will you return a vanquished? the choice is yours really. Don't be carried away though nothing is ever really over until it is over, so if you are not at the summit yet, Congratulations! you still got time to make a difference but if you are, go ahead and celebrate you deserve it. 

When love is not enough

What do you do when love is not enough? When the words "I love you" holds no water. What do you do when she doesn't want to be more than friends or when he's not feeling you the way you're feeling him. It's so amazing what a few weeks together can do to two people, something even more amazing is what few days apart can do to the same two people. How can you tell when she's really there or when he's wholly immersed. Does our hearts lie or are just blinded. When love is not enough, what then?
