2014

The countdown is on. In this moments all we have left to do is personal reflection. Is the year one to remember for the rest of your life or a memory to quickly discard? How many of your resolutions were you faithful to? Did you achieve everything you set out to do?

I looked up 2014 on Google and there's this first part where it says 2014 trending topics, guess what we have; Ebola(epidemic), 2014 World Cup(good), ASUP Strike (terrible), Myles Munroe (death), Kefee (death). Are these what we would remember 2014 by? the deaths, the epidemics, the natural disasters. But why? Where did we get it all wrong. Is it predestination or the result of our choices? What could we have done differently?

In a few days our marriage to year 2014 will be over and a new bride comes home. One can only but wonder what the bride will bring along. Would we come back from work and meet our food freshly prepared an waiting on the table or shall we have to live on junks? Will our children get to school timely if they go at all? What exactly can we expect from 2015? If the old saying about beds remain true then God help us we haven't laid a good bed.

So then is there hope? i'd say YES. We can learn from our mistakes, make better choices, be our brother's keeper. We can make this world a better place to live by making ourselves better people to be with. We can protect our home from dying. We can fight corruption, we can beat the sun and win against global warming. We can beat epidemics. We can beat insurgences. We can beat terrorism. We can take back our home. We got to stop running, waiting for others to take the initiative.

We cannot loose hope, for our sake for our children sake and our children-children sake, there's a new dawn coming. There's a new horizon, HAPPY NEW YEAR in advance.
